Historic Elsah Foundation’s Hosmer Williams Lecture and the Chautauqua
Historical Society Lecture features Alicia Scott giving a talk on The
Sultana disaster in 1865 on the Mississippi River. Refreshments
will be served after the talk.

HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS

The house tour is from 2 pm
to 5:45 pm. This year, in
addition to touring historic homes, the village museum, two
churches, bed and breakfasts and riding in a horse drawn carriage;
you can tour the classrooms, and purchase raffle tickets at the Old
School House. The day’s festivities culminate with caroling and
Santa between 5:45 & 6:30 pm at the Civic Center . Lunch will be
available for purchase at Farley’s Music Hall between 1 pm and 6 pm
(or until sold out) catered by My Just Desserts.
Advance admission is $15 and
is available at the Alton Visitor’s Center or at either B&B in
Elsah. New this year, is an option to purchase tickets with a credit
card or your PayPal account. Advance tickets are recommended.
Tickets are limited and day of event admission will be $18 (cash
only).

Sing. This event starts in the
Methodist Church, moves
across Selma Square to the
Christian Science Church, and is followed by
cookies, punch, and coffee in Farley's Music Hall.
